Saga Prefecture has multilingual telephone interpretating services to make life easier for foreign residents.
This interpretation service has been introduced at administrative offices and major medical institutions in 20 cities and towns in the prefecture, as well as at nurseries, certified childcare centers, and kindergartens in the prefecture.
Foreign residents who are not confident in their Japanese can also speak at these locations with an interpreter over the phone.
Sometimes the differences between the systems in your home country and Japan can be confusing, but even in those cases, it’s easier to understand if someone explains it to you in your own language.
To use this interpretation service, registered government offices, medical institutions ,and childcare facilities must call in. If you would like to use the interpretation service at these facilities, please tell the staff at the facility that you would like to use the interpretation service.
