At around 4:27 PM on July 28, 2026, an earthquake with its epicenter in the Kumamoto region, Kumamoto Prefecture, occurred.
The tremor was also felt in Saga Prefecture.
Additional shaking may occur. Please stay away from the coast and the sea. Be prepared for possible aftershocks.
