Arita Hinamatsuri Tour 2016

Between February 8th (Saturday) and March 21st (Monday), the Arita Hinamatsuri Festival is held in Arita. Within this time, the Coordinator for International Relations of Arita town hall is offering an English tour through Arita, where you can learn about the traditional hina doll festival and the 400-year-old history of porcelain in Japan, enjoy the beautiful townscape and see lots of porcelain dolls!

■Date: March 12, 2016 (Sat.)
Meeting point: In front of Shougai-Gakushu 生涯学習 Center (free parking lots available) If you will reach Arita by train, please wait in front of JR Arita Station where you will be picked up and brought to the meeting point
Time: 10:00 ~ approx. 16:30pm

■Participants: Any English-speaking foreigner living in Japan is welcome to participate! (up to 20 people)

■Participation fee: 1500 Yen This fee will include transportation, lunch and the experience to paint either a tea cup or a plate (*postage fees for having the cup or plate sent to your home need to be paid separately when painting at the studio).
