            -My GABAI Grandma from SAGA-

   Set in a rural village in SAGA, southern Japan in the late 1950s, the film tells the story of “gabai” (or “super”) Granny and her grandson Akihiro, who ends up living with her for eight years in SAGA. 

  Granny is full of power and positive thinking.  Through her, Akihiro learns to find the bright side of their poor postwar life  and especially to never give up.  Heartwarming portrait of life in postwar Japan, based on the bestseller “Saga no Gabai Baachan” (My Gabai Grandma From SAGA 2005)

■Part2: 2:55pm~4:00pm – Seminar about SAGA Dialect 『How to enjoy Saga dialect through learning the difference between Tokyo Japanese and the dialect and, doing science of the dialect』Lecturer: Hiroaki Koga PhD and Associate Professor in SAGA University
